I'm watching the Michael Jackson memorial.

I'm sad because we lost a legend.




What Al Sharpton about said Michael really touched my soul

I quote:
"He outsung his cynics, he outdanced his doubters, he outperformed the pessimists...""

We have all been there.

People telling us who do we think we are to

Strive to be better

Or to give up and get back in the box.

You can't do this and you can't do that

I say, WHATEVER...


Michael Jackson was not perfect

He was a law unto himself

True, he was the greatest entertainer that ever lived.

He flaunted his individuality.

he was different, only Michael could do Michael.


In my note yesterday I mentioned that

The screw -ups that always win...

Are the ones who don't give a rip what others think

And never give up.

Did Michael Screw up? sure he did

Did I screw up? hell yeah, more than I can count.

Was he human? absolutely

So are we.

My wish is that while he was alive he could have

had this type of support as in death.



We have a special calling

We were not put on this earth to be wallflowers

To sit on the sidelines

I believe with every fiber of my being

That we are called to be world Changers and History Makers

Most will not embrace that calling, some will give up

At the first sign of a speed bump

Then again you and I don't want to be most people right?

We all are called to do that one thing that only

we can do in our own special way.

Your job is to find it and the sooner the better.



It's time to be authentic

It's time to just get real.


My mentor Kristen Darkenwald gave me the best advise months ago

She said whatever you do, JUST BE YOURSELF.

Thank you Kristen

Because now I'm just doing me...

What you see is what you get.




I now fight for...

All the people who decide to be real

Who decided to get out of the box

The UNCOMMON people.



Most people will never get me...

That's cool, no sweat

They are not supposed to

I'm UNCOMMON & damn proud of it.


My peeps, the folks I hang with

We are real,

We do AMERICA and the WORLD.

We read books most won't touch

We study dead wealthy people

We listen to CDs that feed our minds

We firmly believe that success begins on the inside.

We get each other, route for each other

Today I was inspired by a music icon

Who lived an UNCOMMON life


I followed the life of Michael and I'm still in awe

Loved his music. He was born to perform to entertain

and that he did.

Do you know what you were born to do?

Don't let your music die with you.

Be real, live an authentic life

Don't mind what other people think
Because the people who matter don't mind
And those who mind don't matter.


It's time to live YOUR best life NOW

We do not know when our time to leave this earth will come

It's time to stop living small lives

If you are frustrated it's because you know

That the life you were meant to live is

So much bigger than the life you are living.
